Symbolic Rose

Just before my laptop takes a trip south without me, I want to share one of this week's highlights. In celebration of our anniversary, I received this lovely necklace from my husband. The image was cast in reclaimed silver from an authentic 19th century wax seal. The rose is a symbol of passion, beauty and true love.
The greatest gift of the week came in the form of two powerful words given to two beloved individuals in our family. Those words were, of course, "cancer free." This is a diagnosis worth celebrating after the dark days of treatment and healing.  Here's to hope, healing and continued good health dear ones.

Have a happy weekend dear ones. This one lives in Banff, Alberta. He/she looked at me last week and wondered if I might be from the big city? I nodded and tried not to stare, but it had been a while since the days of my Colorado or Kingston bike rides where a deer sighting was to be expected early in the morning. Today's word?  M A J E S T I C .

Giving Thanks in Canada

If you and yours are on the road this Thanksgiving weekend, enjoy every turning leaf, and toast the love and effort that has gone into your festive feast.
These photos come to you from the prairies. During a recent visit to both Manitoba and Alberta last week, I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of the cloud formations, and the clear, dry air. I couldn't resist the little house on the prairie near Gimli which is near Winnipeg Beach. We bought fresh caught pickerel in the small fish house off to the right of the doll house.
Bon appeitit dear ones, and happy Thansgiving.

Thinking of Ewe

October has come in like a lamb - some of the most stellar days of the season. Transition is in the air, and so is transportation .... we're off to see the wild wild west. There will be both lakeside and mountain side adventures to share. For now my lovelies, I bid ewe adieu.
