Enso Love

There are numerous shapes and objects that will show up repeatedly and spontaneously as our collages take shape. Among my favourite images of pears, birds, ladders, homes, trees and bowls, there are geometric shapes and circles. Chinese brush artists have brought my attention to the 'enso'. A single brush stroke in the shape of a circle - a symbol of enlightenment and the interconnectedness of all life. It is the visual equivalent for me of the word 'OM'. "A circle is both empty and complete - a metaphor for human potential." jc 2011.

  1. This reminds me of how remiss I have been with my yoga practice. I keep coming back to it but, also keep leaving it for periods of time. Perhaps this is how it is meant to be for me, but I feel like I am betraying something..... it also made me think of a book a read at the cottage about a dog called Enzo; "The Art of Racing in the Rain"; I think you read it too; great book....I'm rambling now but, this is what your blog post has produced...much thought...you can tell I've been out of touch with people for a while....lolz
