Remembering Flea Market Friday

Just a wee sampling of the visual minefield that we experienced at the Brimfield Flea Market about an hour's drive west of Boston. While cool damp weather persisted for hundreds of miles around us, summer came early out in the country. The mood was festive and the air was filled with the aromas of blooming lilacs and pop up hot dog stands. Every square inch of at least a square mile was packed to the tent tops with random collections of STUFF appealing to every sub culture of collector. While 'vintage' was the operative theme, some of the design peeps had created impressive installations reworking old industrial style props into chic and functional furniture and accessories. My mind will be spinning for days with visions of vintage eye candy dancing in my memory banks. More photos to come my dear blog buddies.

  1. Great description of your experience!! I could see myself standing there fondling those amazing tassles!! Glad you had a good vintage fix! I spent the weekend at a spa in Picton with the girls. Nice treat! xoxo
