I am posting the gratitude promise largely to remind myself of the palpable and pleasant shift of the heart when a few mindful moments are devoted being grateful. It's a huge relief to know that a happier state
of mind can be achieved entirely from within. It lets your family members off the hook as well. Just tell them it's a Zen thing!

With child-like wonder and a whole lot of mental gymnastics, I delight in assembling just the right random collection of mini collages (original), found writings and quotations, usable tags and other
bits to help you celebrate special occasions. Would that it were that easy to open up a surprise package
and find instantaneous healing, I might be on to something. Alas, I fear it's not much more than Cute
to those who, like me delight in an obsession with the visual appeal of paper treats. Namaste.

Enjoy your last few weeks of summer....for beyond lies a whole new season.....replete with cooler temperatures and a changing colour scheme. They talk about the 'promise of spring', but the aromas of autumn are my true inspiration. No matter the season, step outside your door for a moment of deep and mindful breathing. Today's darkening skies are stirring up the last few whiffs of our gardens in full bloom. Namaste.

Nirvana is tea for two in your own little treehouse. Teavana is one of my favourite tea franchises with locations all over the U.S. I have managed to get hooked on two white teas called Snow Geisha and Ayurvedic Chai. Naturally they cost a lot more than green tea or rooibos, but white premium loose leaf teas are even richer in antioxidants than the others. Cheers .... to our good health.

One of the joys of making collages is being open to the completely random process of selecting the elements. Pre painted backgrounds make it very easy to get started. I like to juggle at least 6 or 7 compositions at one time. That's my version of multi-tasking where art-making is concerned.

There's something comical and comforting about the rooster image. I totally get the individual connection that each of us feels with certain imagery, but I do wonder why I respond to so many different things. Over time there will be pears, birds, buddhas, cats, trees, bowls, bikes, leaves, dresses, horses, and dolls.
Whew! Must be the adult A.D.D.

www.zendollworkshop.etsy.com. Little by little, I'm stocking the shop. Etsy makes it very easy for artists and artisans to list and sell their work. It's even easier to go shopping! Beware the rapid passage of time as you get lost in a world of creativity. Happy hunting!

The easiest way for me to feel compelled to make collages, is to have a pile a painted backgrounds at the ready. My artist friend, Colette made that a little easier by running a mini background workshop one rainy afternoon. It was just the inspiration I needed to mobilize me and my million vintage photos.

Zen meditation teaches us to deepen our awareness and become the observer of our state of mind as we sit in silence. There is no wrong way to meditate and it's not as mysterious as practitioners make it sound.
If you can sit with a sense of gratitude - gratitude for the precious gift of human life, and if you can focus on your breathing - for even a few moments, you will have begun the flow of thankfulness that can spill into the rest of your day. NAMASTE.

Retail has come a long way and the success of Anthroplogy drives the point home with unique installations that make shopping a creative experience that involves all the senses. This curtain of tickets was featured in the West Broadway location in NY, but I've seen examples of genius right here in the Toronto stores as well. This is my 'go-to' store for creative inspiration and aromatherapy.

Welcome to Cipriani , 376 West Broadway in Soho.
Being spontaneous about dinner plans has its rewards.
Take last Sunday night when our hunger eclipsed our curiosity
about finding a cool restaurant, and we landed here for a wonderful
italian meal..... shoulder to shoulder with Clive Davis and a room full of
eye candy. Yum!

Thank you for your patience. My new Etsy store is slowly taking shape under its new name, Zendoll Workshop. I will offer you the link just as soon as I stock the shelves. I sort of fell down the rabbit hole
trying to upload this banner successfully, but my beloved daughter, Danielle totally saved the day.
